Mechanical Safety Research Group

To help prevent mechanical accidents in the workplace, the Mechanical System Safety Research Group investigates the fatigue strength of machines, elements and components, they undertake numerical analysis methods for fracture surfaces, improve human-machine management systems, and incorporate safe design methods based on risk assessment.

Clamping force measurement of wire grips.

Stress measurement of a wheel crane boom.

Measurement of human tolerance to mechanical stimulus.

Fracture surface observation by scanning electron microscopy.

Two dimensional blanking system for press work.
